Fran brings with her a wealth of experience, having worked in veterinary practices locally for nearly 30 years, as Receptionist and then Office Manager, before taking up a new administrative role here at Seren Vets from September 2024. Fran also works with our sister practice, Gibson & Jones Vets.

Outside work Fran, her husband and yellow Labrador Keano enjoy walks on the beach in New Quay, where they have a holiday home. The rest of her time is spent with her family, baking cakes for her grandchildren and reading.

After working for the Probation Service for many years in Bristol, Leicestershire and London, Alan and his partner decided that they wanted to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. They made the big move to Carmarthen in 2016. They bought a smallholding and many pets, including alpacas, pygmy goats and Herdwick sheep, not to forget their two gorgeous Labradors Sheldon and Sia.

After a long career break, Alan missed the people contact and being a part of a team. He began working as a Veterinary Receptionist in 2021, a job he absolutely loves and which brings him great satisfaction. Alan really enjoys seeing and helping the clients and their much-loved pets. In his spare time, he and his partner enjoy travelling, cooking and spending time with family and friends.

Natalie joined our reception team in mid-2024, having worked for Burns Pet Nutrition for over a decade, and in pet-related retail and livery stables prior to that. More recently she has been helping to run the pet shop next door to Seren, so may already be a familiar face to many. Natalie has always had a keen interest in the veterinary side of the animal world and is enjoying transitioning into her new role.

In her spare time, she enjoys long walks with her chocolate labrador Rupert and riding her horse Rocco.

Linda may be a familiar face to many of you, having worked as a Veterinary Receptionist at various practices in the local area for many years since moving down to Wales from Scotland in 2009. She was brought up on a farm and now has her own with her partner, where she keeps beef cattle, sheep and horses, all passions of hers since being a child.

Her other passion is her dogs. Linda enjoys all aspects of working with animals, large and small, and has dedicated her life to them.

Rebecca is our Reception Manager.

Rebecca previously gained a degree in International Wildlife Biology from the University of South Wales in 2017 and spent time volunteering at both Chester Zoo and Manor House Wildlife Park, as well as travelling for conservation projects internationally. After finding her significant other closer to home, she started work as a Veterinary Receptionist, and even became a 999 call handler for a while after the birth of her son.

Rebecca was excited to return to veterinary work, having missed the continuity of client care and meeting all the animal patients. In Rebecca’s spare time she enjoys being at home, taking local walks and exploring the nature at her front door with her partner, three children and three dogs.
