Second Opinions and Referrals
We are happy to accept cases as a second opinion*. We ask that you arrange for your pet’s full previous medical history to be sent to us in advance of an appointment.
There may be occasions when our veterinary team will advise a client to attend a specialist centre for a referral appointment. Some medical and surgical conditions are beyond our expertise as first opinion GP vets, or simply require more specialist equipment, and therefore may necessitate a referral. We will help to arrange these appointments and will send all relevant notes, test results and a referral letter on to the specialist.*
We are aware that some of our clients may wish to seek a second opinion at another veterinary practice from time to time. We are happy to forward all relevant clinical notes and laboratory test results directly to the instructed vet.
*There may be a small additional charge for this service.
